Anne was born about 1423 in Of Maldon, Essex, England.1 Anne's father was Robert Darcy and her mother was Alice Fitz Langley. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Darcy and Daughter Tirrel; her maternal grandfather was Henry Fitz Langley.
