John was born on April 11th, 1602 in Beaminster, England and his baptism took place on April 11th, 1602 in Beaminster (dors, England.1   John's father was Thomas Cooke and his mother was Joanna. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Mary and Joan.  He was the youngest of the four children.
