Roger was born about 1264 in Of Pipardsclive, Wiltshire, England.1 Roger's father was John De Cobham and his mother was Joan De Septvaus. His paternal grandparents were John De Cobham and Maud (Joane) Fitzbenedict; his maternal grandfather was Robert De Septvaus. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Henry, James, Thomas, Joan and Miss. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died in Sp.1 General Notes
