Lawrence was born in 1397 in Of, Fen Ditton, Cambridgeshire, England.1 Lawrence's father was William Cheney and his mother was Catherine Pabenham. His paternal grandparents were Henry Cheney and Miss Mochete; his maternal grandparents were Lawrence Pagenham and Elizabeth Engayne. He was an only child. He died at the age of 64 on December 30th, 1461. He was buried in Priory, Barnwell, England.1 1 General Notes
