Mathew was born in 1486 in Chesham Buckinghamshire England.1 Mathew's father was John Chase and his mother was Alice Harding. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Chase; his maternal grandfather was Richard Harding. He was an only child. He died at the age of 52 in 1538.1 General Notes
