Information obtained in the American Descendants of Chretian DuBois, Volume I wich references NYG&B. Jacques (Jacobus) came c 1685 to AMerica from Caudebac F
ance on the river Seine. He went originally to Maryland, then to New Amsterdam
and to Esopus (Kingston). In 1690 he was one of the 7 settlers of Minisink at
place now called Cuddebackville. In 1715 he was a member of a foot company of
Ulster Co. & on 9/1/1689 took the oath of allegiance to King William and Queen
Mary of England.
