Joseph Carpenter 
Joseph was born in 1635 in Amesbury, Wilts, England.1 Joseph's father was William Vincent CARPENTER and his mother was Elizabeth ARNOLD. His paternal grandparents were Richard Carpenter and Susanna Trivilian; his maternal grandparents were William Arnold and Christiana Peak. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Ephraim, Timothy, William, Silas, Benjamin, Lydia and Priscilla. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 48 in 1683.1 General Notes
