Sir John Carminow 
Sir John was born about 1290 in Trenowyth, Cornwall.1 Sir John's father was Roger Carminow and his mother was Joanna Dinan. His paternal grandparents were Roger Carmynow and Sarah Hornacote; his maternal grandfather was Geffery Dinan. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named John, Minanus, Richard, Oliver, Reginald, Roger, Thomas, Walter, Joane, Matilda (Beatrice) and Margaret. He was the youngest of the twelve children. History of Cornwall gives a substantially different Pedigree. In that version, Oliver Carminow and Elizabeth Holland had a son Roger, who married Katherine Shirley, and had a son, John, who married Anne Maryatt, and had a son Walter, who married Alice Bloye. At the Latter Day Saints <a href="http://www.familysearch. org/Search/af/ancestral_file_frame.asp?recid=7967903"> Ancestral File</a>, Walter was the son of Oliver's brother John, by his wife Johanna Glynne. Walter married Alice, daughter of Steven Tynton and Elizabeth Bloye. The John Carminow/Anne Maryatt line came to a dead end with no issue. I've assumed that the Mormons found and corrected errors in the Pedigree and I have followed their version, but if additional information comes to light I'll revise this sequence.

Sir John and Johanna were married in a religious ceremony about 1319.1 They had two sons and a daughter, named Walter, John and Isabella.
