Diego Lopez El was born about 1125 in of Toledo, New Castile, Spain.1 Diego Lopez El's father was Count Of Biscaya Dias Lope and his mother was Aldonza De Castro. His paternal grandparents were Lopez El Diego and Maria Sanchez of Navarre; his maternal grandparents were Rodrigo Fernandez El Calvo De Castro and Estephania Perez De Trava. He was an only child.
