Matilda was born about 1345 in <Alvanley, Frodsham, Cheshire, England>.1 Matilda's father was John de Arderne and her mother was Cecilia Bredbury. Her paternal grandparents were John de Arderne and Alice Venables; her maternal grandparents were Adam Bredbury and Alice Bredbury.
