"Henry Adams, who took his flight from the Dragon persecution in
Devonshire(?) England, and alighted with eight sons (?) near Mount
Wolliston, formerly Braintree, now Quinsey. He d. 1646; and when
the ancient parchment from which the above has been taken was
discovered in England, his death was found entered with a date
synchronizing with that of our records."
Henry Adams immigrated from England and settled Quincy,
Massachusetts, which
was part of Braintree, Mass, until 1792. He is the ancestor of
Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
