Constance was born in 1235 in Marston Moretaine,Ampthill,Bedfordshire,England.  Constance's father was Ralph de Merston and her mother was Isabel de Clinton.  Her paternal grandfather was John de Merston; her maternal grandfather was Henry de Clinton.  She was an only child.
