Henry was born about 1114 in Scotland.  Henry's father was David I Caenmore King Of Scotland and his mother was Matilda Huntington.  His paternal grandparents were Malcolm III Caenmore King Of Scotland and Margaret UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Waltheof II Earl of Northampton & Northumbria  and Judith De Lens. He had two brothers named Henry Caenmore and Henry.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died in June 1152 in Kelso,Roxburgh,Scotland.  He was buried in Kelso,Roxburghshire,Scotland.

‌Henry and Gundred were married in a religious ceremony in 1139.  They had a son named William I The Lion.
