Ela was born in 1205. Ela's father was Robert de Aguillon and her mother was Margery de Fresney. Her paternal grandparents were Robert de Aguillon and Agatha Beaufo; her maternal grandfather was William de Fresney. She had a sister named Margery. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 46 in 1251.-
