Hugh was born in 1078 in Shrewsbury,Shropshire,England.  Hugh's father was Richard Talbot and his mother was UNKNOWN De Gournay.  His paternal grandfather was George Talbot.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 42 in 1120.
