John (Jean) De Jarnat 
John (Jean) was born in 1680 in Poitiers near LaRochelle,France. John (Jean)'s father was Samuel De Jarnat. His paternal grandfather was Jean De Jarnat. He had a brother named Samuel. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 23 in 1703 in Prince Edward Co.,Virginia.
John (Jean) and Mary Watkins were married in a religious ceremony in 1703 in Albingdon Parish,Gloucester Co.,Virginia. They had five sons and three daughters, named Elias, John, Daniel, Mumford, Joseph, Elizabeth, Mary and Eleanor.
