Ralph was born in 1069 in Sussex,England.  Ralph's father was Ralph De Quesnay and his mother was Maud D' Wateville.  His maternal grandfather was William DE WATEVILLE. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Roger, Sibyl and Sybil.  He was the second oldest of the five children.
