Matilda was born in 1132 in Burkinham,Norfolk,England.  Matilda's father was James DE ST. HILLARY and her mother was Aveline UNKNOWN.  Her paternal grandfather was Hasculf DE ST. HILLARY.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 61 in 1193.
