Katherine was born about 1608 in England. Katherine's father was William Clifton and her mother was Bridget Sandys. Her paternal grandparents were John Clifton and Ann Stanley; her maternal grandparents were Miles Sandys and Hester Clifton. She had a sister named Katherine. She was the younger of the two children.
