Isaac was born in 1155 in Constantinople,Turkey. Isaac's father was Andronikas Dukas Angelus and his mother was Euphrosyne Kastamonitissa. His paternal grandparents were Kostantantinos UNKNOWN and Theodora COMNENA; his maternal grandfather was Theodoros Kastamonitissa. He had a brother named Isaac II. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 49 on April 12th, 1204.General Notes
