John Stroud 
John was born on January 6th, 1732 in Answell, Hunterdon, NJ. John's father was Barnard(Barnet) John Stroud and his mother was Keziah Harker. His paternal grandparents were William Stroude and Jane Ellys; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Harker and Rachel Lovell. He was an only child. He died at the age of 105 on June 25th, 1837 in Watkinsvill, Clarke, Georgia.General Notes

John and tree brother joined the English Colonial army and fought many battles during the French and Indian War, includingthe battle of Quebec under General Wolfe.
John Stroud drowned after falling off a log crossing a stream in Clark County GA. They had moved to Georgia about1787
