Alexander Fourth High Stewart Of's father was Walter FitzAlan and his mother was Beatrix Angus.  His paternal grandparents were Alan , High Steward Of Scotland FitzWalter and Alesta of Marr; his maternal grandparents were Gilchrist of , 4th Earl of Angus Angus and UNKNOWN Marjory. He had two brothers and a sister, named Walter Bailloch , Earl Of Menthith, Alexander , High Steward Of Scotland and Margaret.  He died in 1283.

They had two sons named James , 5th High Steward of Scotland5 and John Of Bonkyl.
