Thomas was born about 1623.  Thomas' father was Thomas Garnett and his mother was Elizabeth Powell.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Garnett and Mrs Garnett. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Sussan.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named John.
