Phoebe Jane was born on September 6th, 1862 in Osage Twp,Carroll Co,Ark. Phoebe Jane's father was Aaron Allred and her mother was Nellie McCollough. Her paternal grandparents were John Allred and Phoebe Thompson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jonathan P., David Wesley, Samuel Thompson, Lucendy, Mary Erton, Susan, Lois S. and Rose Belle. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She had two half-brothers named John and John.
