Sancha (Sanchia) Princess of Castile was born in 1013.1 Sancha (Sanchia) Princess of Castile's father was Alfonso V King of Castile and Leon and her mother was Elvira (Eloisa) Menendez. Her paternal grandparents were Vermudo (Bermudo) II 'the Gouty' King of Leon and Elvira Garcia de Castile; her maternal grandparents were Menendo Count of Galicia Gonzalez and Totadomna (Toda). She had a half-sister named Jimina (Ximena). She died at the age of 54 on November 7th, 1067 in Fromista. She was buried in St. Martin of Fromista.1 1 General Notes
