Jan Claasz was born on November 15th, 1772 in Boskoop,Zuid Holland,Netherland. Jan Claasz's father was Klaas VERKADE and his mother was Weijntje VAN BEIJERSEN. His paternal grandparents were Klaas Cornelise VERKADE and Marytje Klaasse VRIJENHOFF; his maternal grandparents were Arij Jansz VAN BEIJERSEN and Maria Simonse TEEUW. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Klaas, Arij, Johannes, Marijtje and Meija. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 70 on June 19th, 1843 in Leiden,,Netherland.General Notes
