Orlando Deforest was born on October 20th, 1867 in Blackman,Jackson,MI. Orlando Deforest's father was *Samuel Joseph Somerville and his mother was *Amanda Louisa Keeler. His paternal grandparents were *Joseph Somerville and *Ann; his maternal grandparents were *Harvey Daniel Keeler and *Anna Maria. He had four brothers and a sister, named Alfred Joseph, *Alonzo B., William Robert, Orville J. and Avildra M.. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Clarence, Sylvester, Nellie, Veda, Mabel and Anna.-
