Elizabeth was born about 1562 in Of,Edworth,Bedfordshire,England.  Elizabeth's father was John SPENCER and her mother was Ann (Agnes) MERRILL. She had eight brothers and a sister, named John Merryill, Jarrat, Michael, Girard, Gerard, William, Michael, Nickolas and Alice.  She was the third youngest of the ten children.
