Her paternal grandparents were George Powers and Sarah Ann Scales; her maternal grandparents were John L. Bethell and Eliza Barr. She had a brother and two sisters, named Prentice, Leota and Helen. She died at the age of 59 on July 8th, 1959 in Huntingburg,Indiana.-
