James Phillips 
James was born in of,St Maughan,Monmouthshire,England and his baptism took place in 1767. James' father was Herbert Phillips Esquire and his mother was Mary Evans. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Phillips and Joyce Britton; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Evans Esquire and Sybil Williams. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Thomas, William, Anne Maria, Catherine, Mary and Sarah. He died on February 3rd, 1782.
