Abel Gillett Northrup 
Abel Gillett was born on April 9th, 1772 in Fairfield,Connecticut.1 Abel Gillett's father was Isaiah Northrup and his mother was Mary Hubbell. His paternal grandparents were Job Northrup and Mabel Northrup Mrs.. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Abiah, Isaiah, Andrew, Anson, Elijah, Marcenus, Sarah, Hannah, Lucy, Mabel, Polly Ann and Huldah. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 40 on September 7th, 1812 in Perinton (Fairport),Monroe,New York.1 General Notes

There is a copy of some genealogical information in my possession giv en to me by David Merle Northrop, a descendant and relation. From th at document is found the following about Abel Gillett, Sr.
"...He was a carpenter by trade. ... moved to Fairport, N.Y. Monro e County about 1811..."
