James Auther McCann 
James Auther was born on May 14th, 1880 in Butler,KS. James Auther's father was *William Auther McCann and his mother was *Alice Virginia Claressa Rucker. His paternal grandparents were *Joseph McCann and *Fanny Brown; his maternal grandparents were *James Shaw Rucker and *Elizabeth Kathrine Douglas. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Orvill, Roy Leslie, *Clarence Earl, Ethel May, Flossie Lucinda, Edith Mable and Verna Cora Alice. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 76 on December 13th, 1956 in Upland,San Bernardino,CA.General Notes
