John May 
John was born in 1826 in Harrison County,Indiana. John's father was Peter May and his mother was Rachel Booth. His paternal grandparents were Cassimore May and Mary Horne. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Lewis, Preston, Mary Jane and Margaret. He died at the age of 55 in 1881 in Russell,Lucas County,Iowa. He was buried in Ragtown Cemetery.-
