Lothar II 'the Carolingian' King of Lorraine was born in 0827.1   Lothar II 'the Carolingian' King of Lorraine's father was Lothar I King of Italy, Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Ermengarde of Orleans.  His paternal grandparents were Louis I 'the Fair, the Pious' King of France, Holy Roman Emp and Ermengarde of Hesbaye; his maternal grandparents were Hugh 'le Mefiant' Count of Tours and Aba (Bava). He had a brother and a sister, named Louis II Holy Roman Emperor and Ermengarde of Princess of Italy.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died in Placenza.1

‌Lothar II 'the Carolingian' King of Lorraine and Waldrada were married in a religious ceremony.  They had three daughters named Gisela of Princess of Lorraine, Bertha of Princess of Lorraine and Gertrude of Duchess of Lorraine.
