Thomas Arthur was born on March 15th, 1806 in of Croham Hurst,Croydon,Surrey,England. Thomas Arthur's father was Henry "Harry" Kemmis and his mother was Mary Dawson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Kemmis and Anne (Nancy) White. He had a brother named Henry Richard. He was the older of the two children.
