Robert was born in of,Pant-teg,Monmouthshire,England and his baptism took place on October 26th, 1690. Robert's father was Roger Kemeys gentleman and his mother was Mary Long. His paternal grandparents were Edward Kemeys Esquire and Margaret Morgan. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edward, George, Roger, Margaret, Mary, Anne I and Anne II.
