Capt. James Avery Jr. 
Capt. James Avery was born on December 16th, 1646 in Gloucester,Massachusetts. Capt. James Avery's father was Capt. James Avery and his mother was Joanna Greenslade. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Avery and Margery Stevens; his maternal grandfather was Edward Greenslade. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Christopher, Samuel, John, Johnathon, Hannah, Rebecca, Joanna and Mary Marie. He died at the age of 101 on August 22nd, 1748 in Poquonnoc,Connecticut.-
