Jehoash was born in 842 BC. Jehoash's father was Ahaziah and his mother was Zibiah. His paternal grandparents were Jehoram [King-Judah] and Athaliah. He was an only child. He died in 796 BC.General Notes

He was seven years old when he ascended to the throne and ruled for forty years. He repaired the house of the Lord.
