His paternal grandparents were Ellis HOLCOMBE and Elizabeth SYDENHAM; his maternal grandparents were Thomas TRETHURFFE and Mary TREVISA. He had eight brothers and a sister, named Christopher, Gilbert, Josias, Nicholas, Robert, John, Christopher, Josias and Margaret. He was the youngest of the ten children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Edward, Peter and Katherine. He died at the age of 95 in 1700 in ,,Cornwall,England.General Notes
