Jacob Foster was born in 1861. Jacob Foster's father was John A. Goad and his mother was Lavina Jane Powers. His paternal grandparents were Peter Goad and Dicy Smith; his maternal grandparents were Marsham (Massa) Powers and Jane Holmes. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Alva J., Martin A., Charles Willard, Israel M., Hannah, Lucy Ann and Dicy J.. He died at the age of 69 on January 3rd, 1930. He was buried in Freedom Cem. Warrick County,Indiana.-
