Louis II , King of Germany was born in 0800 in France. Louis II , King of Germany's father was *Louis I , "The Pious" King Franks and his mother was *Ermengarde Princess of Hesbaey. His paternal grandparents were *Charlemange , King of France Franks and Countess of Vingzau *Hildegarde; his maternal grandparents were Duke of Hesbaye *Ingeramne\Ingram and *Dutchess of Hesbaye. He had two brothers and five sisters, named *Lothaire I , King of Rome, Pipin I , King Aquitiane, Hildegard , Princess HRE Abbess of Leon, Rotrude , Princess, Alpaide (Alpais) , Princess, *Adelaide , Princess and Gisle , Princess. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named II, King of Franks, Count of Sens and Gisela. He died in Frankfort,Brandenburg,Germany. He was buried in Lauresheim Abbey.General Notes
Louis II King Of Germany is often regarded as the founder of the German kingdom. After the death of his father, Louis I, in 1840, he joined with one brother, Charles the Bald, to fight another, Lothair I, for control of the empire. The Treaty of Verdun in 843 gave Louis all of Germany east of the Rhine River.
