John was born in 1348 in Echingham,Sussex,England. John's father was Richard Fitzalan Sir and his mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Fitzalan Earl and Alice Plantagenet; his maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet and Maud De Chaworth. He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Alice. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had two half-sisters named Mary Isabel and Joan. He died at the age of 31 on December 16th, 1379 in Irish Sea (Drowned).-
