Eliza was born on December 22nd, 1737 in of,Llangatwg Feibio,Monmouthshire,England. Eliza's father was Thomas Evans Esquire and her mother was Sybil Williams. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Evans Esquire and Alice Clarke. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Kingsmill, Frances, Mary and Anne Jane.
