Mary was born in 1683 in Anne Arundel County,Maryland. Mary's father was Mareen T. Duvall and her mother was Susannah Brashears. Her paternal grandfather was Thomas Duvall; her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Brashears and Mary Jones. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Mareen, Benjamin, Susannah, Elizabeth, Katherine and Johanna. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Samuel, Marueen, John, Lewis and Eleanor.-
