Thomas Douthitt 
Thomas was born on April 2nd, 1753 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. Thomas' father was John Douthitt and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. His paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, William (Billy), James, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rebecca and Mary. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 65 on March 31st, 1819 in Near Clemmons,North Carolina. He was buried in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church near Clemmons,NC.-
