Melinda Amelia was born on January 10th, 1833 in Orange County,Indiana. Melinda Amelia's father was Benjamin Douthit and her mother was Maria Riley. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Douthitt and Sarah Maria Frey; her maternal grandparents were Michael Ryley and Sarah Black. She had a brother and six sisters, named John Wesley, Sarah Susan, Mary Ann Sands, Nancy E., Rebecca E., Lydia M. and Female. She died at the age of 84 on August 26th, 1917.-
