William Dewees 
William was born in 1678 in Leeuwarden Friesland Netherlands. William's father was Garrett Hendricksz de Wees and his mother was Sytie Lieuwes. His paternal grandparents were Hendrick Adriaensz de Wees and Adriaentje Jans-------------; his maternal grandparents were poss Lieuwes Lamberts and poss Dievertie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Lewis-Lambertus, Hendrick, Cornelius, Dievertie, Ariaentie, Lysbeth and Wilhelmina Pietre. He died in Montgomery County,Pennsylvania. He was buried in Germantown,Pennsylavania.-
