Cornelius Dewees 
Cornelius was born about 1774 in Kent County,Delaware. Cornelius' father was Cornelius Dewees and his mother was Elizabeth Draper. His paternal grandparents were Cornelius Dewees and Esther Draper. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Nehemiah S., Draper Alexander, Thirza, Sarah and Mahala. He was the oldest of the six children. He died on October 9th, 1839 in Kent County,Delaware.-
