Bouchard was born in 1064 in Montmorency Sein Et Olise France.1   Bouchard's father was Bouchard De Montmorency and his mother was Adeliza De Clermont.  His maternal grandparents were Hugh Count of Clermont (Creil Mouchy) and Margaret Montdidier. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Hervey Walter, Adeliza\Alice, Agnes "dite L'Orgueilieuse" and Margaret.
