1   Charles III 'the Simple' King of the West Franks' father was Louis II 'the Stammerer' King of France, Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Adelaide of Paris.  His paternal grandparents were Charles II 'the Bald' King of France and Ermentrude of Orleans; his maternal grandfather was Begue II Count of Paris. He had a sister named Ermentrude Princess of the West Franks.  He died in Peronne,Somme,France.  He was buried in St. Fursy.1 1
